Fanbook
We are looking to put together a fan appreciation book for Leonard Nimoy, to be delivered to him at Dragon*Con and are in search of participants. Please see below for the details and we hope you participate! Any questions should be sent to either info@spocklives.com or amie@spocklives.com.
Content:
What » Letters, fan art, poetry, fanfic, doodles, cosplay/costumes, collages. Must fit on an 8.5x11 inch (21.5x27.9cm) page, can be vertical or horizontal. Two works max per person, please.
How » Digital files and scanned images will certainly be accepted, but if you would like to send a hand-written letter or original artwork, you are encouraged to do so. :D
Do Not » Submit questionable content. No smut fics, obviously (though he knows they exist), no stolen art or written words, etc. We think you know where to draw the line. ;)
Organization:
» The book will be put together in a scrapbook, which is why original content is encouraged. It will add a nice personal touch to the book, which we think Mr. Nimoy will appreciate.
Delivery:
» Amie will personally deliver the book to Leonard Nimoy at Dragon*Con in September.
Deadline:
Handwritten & Handmade Content » August 21.
Digital Submissions » September 1.
Dragon*Con is September 4-7 and Amie will be leaving for Atlanta on the 3rd, so she must have time to finish the book before the convention. Please do not procrastinate.
What We Need Now:
» We need to know if you will commit and what you would like to submit. We also welcome any suggestions or questions you may have. Spread the word. You do not need to have a LiveJournal to participate, though this is largely being organised there. E-mail amie@spocklives.com if you are not on LJ, but wish to contribute to this project.
Submission Guidelines:
Text Submissions » Handwritten letters will be accepted and are encouraged, so please write legibly. Scanned letters and typed letters will also be accepted. If you are sending a digital file, .txt documents are preferred. If you are scanning a document, please make sure it is in JPEG or PNG format and between 150 to 300 dpi. Content must fit on one (8.5x11 inch/21.5x27.9cm) page.
Artwork Submissions » Handmade art will be accepted and is encouraged. Scanned art will be accepted. If you are scanning artwork, please make sure it is in JPEG or PNG format and between 150 to 300 dpi. Content must fit on one (8.5x11 inch/21.5x27.9cm) page. No traced or vectored images. Do not submit artwork that is not your own.
Regarding Handmade Items » Please e-mail amie@spocklives.com or send her a personal message on LiveJournal (blowdry) and she will reply with where to send your submission(s). :)
